Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Pinole Endodontics a dental practice dedicated exclusively to endodontic care.

We are specialist members of the American Association of Endodontists. We look forward to bringing our services to you. Our entire staff is committed to providing the highest standard of professional care in a friendly, comfortable environment. We hope that the information provided here answers many of your questions about endodontic treatment. If you would like additional information, please don't hesitate to contact us at 510-964-0215 or info@pinoleendo.com. We will respond promptly.

Initial Consultation

Your initial consultation will consist of one or more x-rays, a visual evaluation, and some tests to determine the condition of the tooth in question. A diagnosis and treatment options will be explained to you. If root canal treatment is a viable solution to your problem, we will quote a fee for the treatment. The consultation visit helps you to become familiar with our office and how we take care of our patients. This is also the best time to address any special concern or requirement i.e. nitrous oxide that you may have.
Usually, treatment may be initiated the same day as the consultation. However, in case of a complex medical history or treatment plan, a second appointment will be required to provide treatment on another day.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:

  1. Your referral slip and any x-rays if applicable
  2. A list of medications you are presently taking
  3. If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary information (i.e. employer, insurance carrier, group number, etc.). This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you require pre-medication i.e. artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.

X-ray

The x-rays that your dentist provided add helpful information to your initial consultation, but it’s not required. We will take our own x-rays from different angles during your exam for diagnostic purposes.
Our office is equipped with the most advanced digital radiography system, which reduces the radiation exposure by 90%.

We are happy to assist you in completing your insurance forms and will work hand in hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. All insurance plans will be processed through our office on a plan by plan basis. Patient’s share and uncovered service is due at the time services are rendered.

Patient Billing

We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. The portion due that you paid on the day of treatment is a percentage of your total balance, and in no way reflects an estimated amount that you insurance will cover. Any portion remaining after insurance payment is due and payable upon receipt of your initial statement.

If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 510-964-0215. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.

Scheduling

Pinole Endodontics is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 am until 5 pm. Also, Thursday from 8 am until 2 pm. We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.
We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting, as we recognize that your time is valuable.
