Meet Dr. Y. L. Irene Yeh
Endodontist in Pinole, CA
Dr. Yeh is an award-winning endodontist specializing in root canal therapy, dental implant placement, bone grafting, and guided tissue regeneration. Dr. Yeh attended Boston University where she received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) before continuing her education with a three-year specialty program in root canal treatment and obtaining a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) a specialty degree in Endodontics, and a Master of Science in Dentistry (MScD). After receiving her degrees, Dr. Yeh practiced in Northern California for several years and held the position of Clinical Director for the Endodontic division at UCSF from1994-1996. Following her time in California, Dr. Yeh moved to Denver, Colorado in 1998. She served the Denver area for a few years until the opportunity arose to return to Pinole where she has remained since 2000. Upon her return, Dr. Yeh was elected and served as District Representative for the Contra Costa Dental Society.
Dr. Yeh has received numerous awards in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry, including being awarded the prestigious Fellowship status in The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). She is widely published, and her numerous articles can be seen in the Journal of Immunology, Journal of Endodontics and Journal of Dental Research.
Dr. Yeh is proud to offer Pinole and the San Francisco Bay Area with state-of-the-art dental treatment in a comfortable and fully-equipped environment.
Outside of her busy practice, Dr. Yeh volunteers extensively to treat the uninsured in both Denver and the Bay Area. She has also traveled on mission trips to provide free dental care in Mexico, Vietnam, Cambodia, Burma, and Paraguay.
When she is not practicing endodontics, Dr. Yeh has an adventurous nature and a wide variety of interests and hobbies. She is a world traveler and enjoys reading and fine dining. Dr. Yeh is a piano player and passionate music lover, especially Flamenco guitar and Jazz. When she can find the time, she also enjoys activities that include running, skiing, hiking, scuba diving, cycling, and car racing.
